Yannick Balk
I received my BSc degree in Social Psychology in 2010 at Utrecht University. Currently I am enrolled in the second year of the Social and Health Psychology research master programme at Utrecht University. As of September 2011, I am doing my internship, which is related to writing my thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Marieke Adriaanse and Dr. Catharine Evers. The topic of my thesis concerns whether emotion-regulation strategies such as distraction and cognitive reappraisal are effective in alleviating the famous choking under pressure effect.
